VISION

The Maritime energy and subsea engineering groups (ME&SE) provides a wide platform for researchers to carry out various green energy power and flow assurance technologies that promote innovation solutions for maritime and subsea energys industry. Open to all scientists and engineers from academia and industry for R&D in green & smart shipping and subsea engineering technologies.

In response to the current high carbon emissions and high pollution of shipping and port operations, the IMO has formulated a series of greenhouse gas strategies. Its goal is to reduce ship greenhouse gas emissions to 50% of the current level by 2050, and to achieve shipping and pollution by the end of this century. Zero-carbon operation of port operations. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to carry out a lot of research and development work on new shipping fuels, new ship energy and environmental protection technologies, and shipping and port operation management methods. This will also be the future development trend of shipping and port decarbonization.
